The highest population of any insect species on the planet, they can be seen and experienced by almost anyone at any environment and location. An abundance of ants within our premises have proven to be a troublesome hindrance that sometimes requires the aid of a pest control expert to solve. It is important to identify what attracts ants to your premises in order to eradicate them.
In Singapore there are 5 types of ants, Ghost/Sugar ants, Pharaoh’s ants, Yellow Crazy ant, Odorous House ants and Carpenter ants. Any food crumbs and water spillage is the most common attractant to ants. Tiny gaps in walls provide shelter and sealing these areas is the best solution to reduce infestation.
Signs include the presence of:
- Ant trails or pathways
- Ant nests that looks like a small pile of soil or dirt
In areas that include but are not limited to:
- Kitchens, pantries or where there is food source
- Sweet and sugary foods and objects
- Cracks and crevices in floors and walls
- Quiet and dark places
Our Solution
A thorough inspection will be carried out to detect for any possible pest infestations. To control identified areas, our approach includes the use of residual spray and gel baiting.
Method | How It Works |
---|---|
Residual spray | This is an extremely effective treatment for most premises as it is not staining or harmful to humans and it is odorless. Using a non-toxic pesticide solution is being sprayed at targeted areas acting as a chemical barrier and killing ants instantly upon contact. |
Gel Baiting | Using gel bait is effective for long-term treatment and control. Small gel dots are placed strategically and replenished regularly. Baits consumed by the ants that return to the Ant colony allows us to identify the source of the infestation. Gel baits will be used at areas not accessible to children and pets. |
